Thank you for your comments Brittany. It is funny that I wrote this post literally over a year ago. This was my last post! I am too busy taking care of my clients' marketing needs and have completely pushed the needs of my own company aside. That is all about to change though. I realize I would much rather work with the clients than on my own business and so I have managed to hire a new business partner (Mike!) to take over all marketing aspects of Rosenberg Marketing. Because yes, marketing really is a full time job!

Hi Amy,

I completely agree with your perspective. It's ironic that when businesses encounter challenging financial times, marketing is often the first thing thing to go when it is the area that could be drumming up the new business that they need to turn their finances around.

I am all for companies doing marketing in-house if they are educated on how to reach their target audience properly. However, if an unexperienced marketing professional is broadcasting the wrong message, it can do more harm than good.

Another point is that marketing is really a full-time job and it can actually be more cost effective to hire an outside agency than to hire a full-time employee.

Great post, thank you for sharing your perspective.

Good points. While we think of summer vacations and relaxing, this is a good reminder that the Holiday season is booking now!
